Meet the Science Edit

Empowering students through engaging science education

At The Science Edit, we believe science should be clear, engaging and open to everyone.

Our mission is to support students with meaningful, well-informed content that builds confidence, curiosity and critical thinking. Each episode is designed to help you make sense of science, whether you're brushing up for GCSEs, tackling A level content or just trying to feel more confident in class.

The Science Edit is created and hosted by Rachael Limer, Head of Science at a grammar school in Kent. Rachael is a Zoology graduate and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Biology. She has over 15 years of teaching experience, including ten years leading a dynamic and committed Science department. She teaches across all year groups, from Year 7 to Year 13, and uses her classroom experience to shape each episode around real student needs.

Whether it is decoding tricky exam questions, exploring careers in science or hearing from students and teachers themselves, this podcast is here to make science feel less intimidating, one question at a time.
